The Living Planet Aquarium

Wes went out of town early this week, he was only gone for 2 days, but, that put him behind at work and also at home where he has a bizzillion things going on as well. After much pleading form both me and Megan, we planned a family outing. So we sluffed church, and went to the Aquarium. Sunday was a really unbusy day there, and also when we went to the Myan restaurant for lunch there wasn't much of a line and we had great seats for the diving show. It was such a fun day. The Aquarium was dark so the pictures didn't turn out very well. Sorry about the cleave shot in the one.(just don't ask me why I breast feed my kids til they're like 18 months.) Megan was such a brave girl, she touched the Sting Rays, some were 2 feet across. Also they had a touch station where you could touch crabs and starfish. Megan loved the penguins, the only thing that really frighted her was the Giant Lobster, this thing was 90 years old and was 2 1/2 feet long, (think of a medium sized dog). Great activity for kids, I would actually recomend this more than the zoo.
#1 air conditioning.
#2 smaller environment.
#3 the kids can actually see the animals.

Bandaids and Sour Patch Kids.

I have been blogging about Sarah lately. Only because when you are six moths old pretty much everything is a milestone. Megan says and does such darling things I really need to get them down so I won't forget. When I come home from work in the morning there are always the sweetest notes and pictures that Megan has written/drawn for me. This one is a "Rainbow with a Sun and Flowers". Megan is also giong through the bandaid phase. I was fine with putting bandaids on tiny ouchies to avoid the arguement.... Until she had an allergic reaction to one of the band-aids.
Finally, on our last Super Wal-Mart adventure, Megan had a box of Sourpatch Kids and as we were driving home Sarah was strangley content. I asked Megan what Sarah was doing and her reply, "Mom, us are just eatin dees sour tings, Sarah likes the green ones." So rather than pull-over I just let Sarah keep eating it and watched her in the little reflector mirror (not a total slaker mom) she spit it out and it just stuck to her shirt. I asked Megan to not share with Sarah, for a little while at least.

Sarah's Blessing

We finally blessed Sarah. So what if she is almost 6 months old. We waited so long because first it was the swine flu, then it was RSV, we didn't even go back to church until March. Then I decided to wait until the weather was nice. Guess what, it was a wonderful day and Sarah even participated in the festivities. Thank you Papa Kerry for the wonderful blessing. It was a delightful day.

We have been having fun this spring. It has been so fun to finally go outside. On the rainy days we went to some fun places. The Kangaroo Zoo in North Salt Lake was so much fun for Megan, they had these giant inflatable jump arounds that Megan could attack and let loose some energy. There was also a Balloon Artist, and a person in a Kangaroo suit. What could be better. Sarah even got in on the fun.
Heather is such a good sport to come and play with us.

So how about my kid and her obsession with DIET COKE? She is so my kid. Yes I am one of those terrible mothers that let their kids drink Diet Coke. But on the plus side there is no tooth rotting sugar.

Sarah 4 wheeler sandwich. We just had to make sure that we had a kid who liked to ride, and sure enough we do. We can't wait to start our summer camping vacations.
