Merry Christmas!

Sarah's Birthday Photos

Finally I can end the monthly photography sessions. It is bittersweet to watch your children grow. Sarah didn't dig into this cake like I thought she would. There wasn't nearly enough frosting smearing going on. She just picked at the cake very daintily. That's just her personality.
Her One year old stats are:
Height 29 inches (45%)
Weight 18# (7%)
Head circ 46 cm (76%)
The big head comes from Wes.
Sarah is walking around. Her favorite game is SNAKE, that is where she gets a plastic snake, hisses and chases us around the house. Her vocabulary is mama, dada, dog, uh oh, ouch, that, and candy. She points to her head, arms, eyes, ears, nose (beeper), feet, hair, and bellybutton (giggle button).

Our Puppy Returns

This sweet little dog was lost for 11 days. The Saturday after Thanksgiving she was outside playing and chased after a kitty. About 6 pm we noticed she didn't come home for dinner. Wes began searching the fields around our house and driving all over Hyrum to find her. It is sad how you never know how much you love someone till she is gone. Wes continued this search for the next few days which included nagging all of the valley animal control officers and taking Mitch and Zeke (a Laborador and German Shepard) out to sniff her out, you would think that Mitch and Zeke being the type of dogs that are used in search and rescue missions would have some inborne instincsts but, they walked right past her. Well nearly a week later, after we had almost given up hope, Wes stopped by the Short Stop and bumped into his friend, Jason, who operates the pallet company near by. For whatever reason Tess heard either Wes' voice or his car and began barking. She continued this for over an hour, until Jason and the other workers began pulling logs off of the wood pile. As soon as she was free Tess took off for home, after eleven days of being trapped (she had tried to turn around in the wood pile and gotten stuck), she was back and we were delighted. She had a couple cuts that needed stitches, and besides being thirsty and considerably slimmer, she was just fine. We love you Tess and we appreciate everyone who prayed for her.

Sarah Turns ONE

Sarah and daddy taking a Thanksgiving nap.

Sarah eating a cup cake on her actual birthday.

These are pics from Sarah's family party on the 21st.

Sarah had her first birthday on the 24th. She is a sweet girl. We go for her Dr. check up on friday, so I will let you know how big she is or isn't. Sarah is walking, she can toddle throughout the house, if she takes her time. She says a few words, "Mama" (mumma) means either Mom or Megan, and "Dada" which means either Dad or Dog. My mother swears that she can hear her say grandma. I keep my fingers crossed that this little girl cheers up soon, she still loves to be held, she can't stand to be more than inches away from me. She will play with toys, but only if she can keep her fingers pinching my shirt. I love her anyway.

Happy Halloween

After taking the girls out for Trick or Treats Wes and I dressed as
Danny and Sandy from Grease.
Little Bo Peep and her Sheep

Dressing as Princesses
This is what my kid would look like if she had hair.

Mom and Sarah carved a kitty into her pumpkin.

Megan loved playing in the Pumpkin Guts

Althought we got rained out, we still had a great halloween.

Catching up

This is Darcy. Disclaimer: We did not name this dog. He is old enough that we don't want to change his name. So he is a little dog with a girl name. Sorry Wes. We love this dog any way. In this picture he is wearing stickers.

The infamous Butt-Scoot. Thankfully she started crawling normally earlier this week, as well as standing on her own.

Sneaking Squeeze-its.

Matching Jammas

I am so disappointed. My camera died while we were on our girls weekend at Park City. I am trying really hard to wait until Christmas until I get a new one. I am looking for a camera in the $200 range, that is small enough to keep in my purse, and takes good pics with as little delay as possible. If you have a great camera that you love, let me know.

September Post

I know that it has been a long time since my last post when I post Sarah's monthly pictures. I forgot to post her 9 month stats.....

16# 10 oz (12th percentile)

28 inches (61st percentile)

Yep she is skinny, but since I have to pack her everywhere, I am grateful she is little. Speaking of packing her around, this kid won't crawl, she will scoot til she gets to some furniture and try to stand up. Again I am grateful for her lak of mobility. These are her 10 month pictures.

Whats new with us? We have a new addition to our family, His name is Mr. Darcy. He is a year and a half old Morkie (Malteese and Yorkie cross). Sorry my camera is on the fritz and I only have some cell phone pics that don't post too well. We love this little dog and are so happy he is here, he sleeps in Megan's bed at night, and really makes us all smile.

Sarah is 9 months old!

I can't believe she is so big already.

She claps, waves, and coos. We are working on crawling. Sarah scoots around on her bum instead. It's pretty cute. We go to the Dr. on Friday, I have a feeling that she is going to be small for her age. We'll see.

Best Friends

Megan and her daddy went fishing up Cub River this weekend. This is her first Trout. Not only did she help catch the fish, but she touched it and even at it for dinner.

Megan has finally started "Dance Class", this has been and much anticipated event. Megan donned her tutu and so far she has loved the class, now if she just can follow the teachers directions.........

Earlier today as I was doing my hair. Sarah and Megan were playing on the floor and I was listening to thier conversation. Megan was just talking to Sarah in her usual baby banter, the out of the blue she says,"Sarah, you're my best friend." Oh I couldn't be happier.

Summer Continues!

Today we took Megan to her first Movie Theater experience. We went to the $3 dollar movie and saw Shrek #4. Megan did well for an hour and then she wanted to go home. We made her stay and watch the rest of the movie. Here's our annual car show pic with dad and the girls. The family photo from the Hyrum Parade. Me and Sarah at Bear Lake, staying in the shade.
